Step 1. Turn on the camera and computer. Step 2. Attach the USB cable. Connect the Camera and the Computer via USB (while inserting the cable in the respective USB ports) and wait for the computer to identify it as a storage device. Step 3. Navigate the storage file of your camera from your computer. Having an f/1.8 as a minimum is highly recommended. Select your lens’s widest possible aperture. Use an ISO of 400-3200 (higher if you have a slower lens). Select Auto or Daylight white balance. Turn off the lens AF function. Use manual focus. These settings is what I recommend for the best results.
The 6D Mark II skewed to yellow on Black, and the 6D was neutral. The 6D Mark II showed more color variation in both the a and b channels than the original 6D. The 6D Mark II varied by 13 points
You can select a base Picture Style such as [Portrait] or [Landscape], adjust its parameters as desired and register it under [User Def. 1], [User Def. 2], or [User Def. 3]. You can create Picture Styles whose parameter settings such as for sharpness and contrast are different.

These settings typically include Sunlight, Shade, Tungsten, Fluorescent, etc. Most of the time using a white balance setting that matches the lighting conditions will result in excellent portraits. However, you can use a warmer White Balance setting with portraiture for a more natural look.
First time here; just picked up the EOS 6D Mark II, and thought I might need some expert tutelage. I understand with a new camera model the RAW file format changes. I use Windows 10, which will preview RAW files, but does not display the 6D Mark II files. Presumably Windows will require an update with some sort of CODEC to display the new RAW
