The quest is pretty stupid but you should have an axe and a bow. When you escape your house there is a chest on the right. There is an axe in there and some bandages. This will help you later. Best way to kill the Cumans with Theresa is don't let the game get you into combat mode.
At full price I think the DLCs are not worth it but on sale some of them might be. I liked the amorous adventures, band of bastards and a woman's lot. Amorous adventures is a bit buggy but has some funny moments. Band of bastards is combat oriented, so it was fun for me. Woman's lot is the biggest of the bunch.
