However, there are a few disadvantages that you should be aware of. Among other things: 1. no redundancy, 2. no QoS / DSCP tags, 3. no VLAN / trunk support. Does NOT support virtual machines; Please contact Audinate Sales for information about virtual machine support and other special scenarios for DVS. Dante Via requires a periodic internet connection to validate its license. Learn more. Already own a copy of Dante Virtual Soundcard or Dante Via? Click here to manage your existing licenses. The ASIO Driver of Dante Virtual Sound Card (audinate.com) Does not work in juce-based asio hosts. To reproduce: Download DVS, activate trial, click start. Try to set DVS as ASIO device in a juce based host (like plugin host example) Starting the driver will fail with the message "Device didn't start correctly" Expected behavior: It should work Most of the time, subscription patch point is replaced by either "error" or "pending" indicators. Clicking the patch point once to undo it, then again to re-do it resolves the issue, and it doesn't come back for a matter of weeks. DVS is using a dedicated Dante NIC, which is an off-the-shelf 1Gbps NIC (not a Focusrite/Audinate PCIeR card).
Bare minimum setup would be the console card and a PC running Dante Virtual Soundcard and a free DAW (e.g. Reaper). It looks like the A&H Dante console card comes with a Dante Virtual Soundcard license, so you'd be all set just buying the card. Plug the card into the computer and away you go.
Windows AES67 virtual sound card. Anybody know of/regularly use a virtual sound card for windows that is AES67 capable? Have had good luck with Merging's Ravenna soundcard, seems like it is only OSX compatible though. Thanks. Ravenna is windows compatible, I was looking into this only a few days ago.
