2 Unlock the ability for your skyscale to spit a fireball at aerial targets. Wall Spring: 635,000 3 Learn to spring off walls with your skyscale, providing a moment of respite and ability to fly to greater heights. How to Get a Flying Mount. In the Game, players can gather numerous rare items, weapons, and installs. All installs have special functions. Some can climb up rocks, others can run quick. Just the Griffon can fly. It can just fly at one height, and if you start flying from a high cliff, you can check out areas from the sky.
With regular flying mounts enabled, GW2-like mounts would be relegated to niche of having a bit of fun and perhaps being a bit faster short term. It depends on how they work. In Guild Wars 2 both flying mounts have limitations to make sure they don't invalidate certain ground mounts (like the high jumping bunny, for mountain climbing).
Select the GLIDING option, and get enough experience to complete the bar at the bottom of your screen (experience bar). Once the mastery/XP bar is full, make sure you have mastery points (earned by doing HoT achievements), and click on the button in your hero panel to unlock the first tier and spend the points.
Another interesting thing about flying: certain areas of the game are only accessible by flying, so you definitely want to put in the grind for those aether currents. And in some areas, entire sections of the map are locked behind MSQ (ahem, SB), so you can’t get all the currents until you progress later in the story.
Each map in the Crystal Desert region introduces its own mount with a new movement mechanic, and the maps are essentially set up to require you have the prior mount to get each new one: Crystal Oasis: Raptor—can leap forward very quickly to cross gaps. Easy to acquire by doing a renown heart. Desert Highlands: Springer—can jump up high. To get the Ley Line Glider achievement, you need to get to the Ley Line Overlook point of interest. It doesn't matter how you get there, so you can get a Mesmer buddy to port you up! Up Next: A xG9FRD.
